DadConnect respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights. This Policy explains how rights holders and their authorised representatives can report content on DadConnect that they believe infringes those rights, how users may respond, and what DadConnect may do after receiving a report.

This is an international, jurisdiction-neutral complaint process. It is not presented as a United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act policy or as a guarantee of any statutory safe harbour.

1. Before submitting a report

Please consider whether the use you are reporting may be authorised by the rights holder or permitted by applicable law. Intellectual-property rules and exceptions differ by country. If you are uncertain about your rights or the legality of a use, consider obtaining independent legal advice before submitting a report.

2. How to submit a copyright or intellectual-property report

Send the report to copyright@dadconnect-app.io and include:

  1. your full name, postal address and email address;
  2. if you act for someone else, the name of the rights holder and an explanation of your authority to act;
  3. a clear description of the copyrighted work, trademark or other right you believe is affected;
  4. the exact DadConnect URL, post identifier, account name or other information that allows us to locate the content;
  5. a precise description of the material you believe is infringing and why;
  6. supporting information reasonably sufficient to show the relevant right and the alleged infringement;
  7. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the rights holder or permitted by law;
  8. a statement that the information in your report is accurate; and
  9. your physical or electronic signature.

Please do not send identity documents, sensitive personal data or unrelated private information unless we specifically request them and they are necessary to assess the report.

Incomplete or unclear reports may delay our review. We may ask for additional information before taking action.

3. What happens after a report

DadConnect may review the report, the identified content, relevant account and platform records, and any response or supporting material provided by the affected user. Depending on the circumstances, DadConnect may:

  • request more information from the reporting party or affected user;
  • restrict, deactivate or remove access to content;
  • preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary;
  • notify the affected user and give them an opportunity to respond;
  • take action under the DadConnect Terms and Community Guidelines, including account restrictions for repeated or serious infringement; or
  • refer or respond to a competent authority or court where legally required.

DadConnect may share the substance of a report and the reporting party's contact details with the affected user when reasonably necessary for a fair review, unless law or a substantiated safety concern requires different handling. We may redact information that is unnecessary for that purpose.

Submitting a report does not guarantee removal, a particular outcome or a response within a fixed period. Courts and competent authorities make final determinations about legal rights and infringement.

4. Response by an affected user

If DadConnect contacts you about a report and you believe the content was restricted or removed by mistake, or that you have the necessary rights or legal basis to use it, reply to the notice or email copyright@dadconnect-app.io. Include:

  1. your full name and contact email;
  2. the URL, post identifier or description of the affected content;
  3. a clear explanation of why you believe the content is lawful or the report is mistaken;
  4. any permission, licence, ownership information or other supporting material;
  5. a statement that the information you provide is accurate and submitted in good faith; and
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

DadConnect may reconsider the restriction after reviewing the available information. Content may be restored when appropriate, but restoration is not automatic.

5. Repeated infringement and misuse

DadConnect may restrict or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously infringe intellectual-property rights, taking into account the available evidence, the nature and context of the conduct, previous valid reports and applicable law.

DadConnect may reject or take appropriate action concerning reports or responses that are knowingly false, fraudulent, abusive, duplicative or submitted to harass another person. A mistaken report made in good faith will not by itself be treated as abuse.

6. Privacy and record handling

DadConnect processes personal data submitted in connection with intellectual-property reports to assess and respond to complaints, enforce its Terms and Community Guidelines, protect rights, comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Information may be shared with the reporting party, affected user, service providers, professional advisers, authorities or courts when reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

Records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, taking account of applicable legal duties, disputes, repeat reports, platform security and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. See the DadConnect Privacy Policy for more information about personal-data handling and rights.

7. Other legal remedies

This process does not prevent a rights holder, user or DadConnect from seeking other remedies available under applicable law. DadConnect may comply with binding orders or requests from competent authorities.
